Corporate philanthropy constitutes an important link between our company and the place we operate in. O2 Foundation is a tool of an effective help where our assistance is needed and where we must sensitively react to the needs of our surroundings. Having established and been running the foundation for many years, our company sends a strong signal to the public that our intent to help the society is long-term and permanent. In addition to the foundation activities we donate services and perform various projects with voluntary participation of our employees. We combine the said approaches so that we involve corporate funds as effectively as possible for the benefit of non-profit projects.

With its long-term, considered and systematic donorship O2 Foundation stresses its positive attitude towards society and accepts its co-responsibility for its state and development. O2 Foundation was established in 2002 and since then it has distributed over CZK 90 million to support non-profit projects. It is a member of The Donors Forum – Foundations association and in 2004 it was awarded the VIA BONA main prize, which is supposed to publicly appreciate the support of non-profit activities.

O2 Foundation´s mission is to support projects that directly or indirectly enhance physical or psychical development of kids and teenagers. We are willing to continue to contribute to the development and protection of environment and communities we live in. Through technologies, services and intellectual property of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic we support social projects whose goal is to equalize opportunities of various challenged groups of people or individuals.

We support development of individual donorship in the Czech Republic
Our company participated in launching DMS, i.e. Donor SMS, a unique philanthropic tool. This is a unique, fast and transparent way for the public to donate to charity collections through mobile technology.

We provide discounts to handicapped people
Since 2007 we have been the first telecommunications operator providing special discounts to handicapped people to both O2 fixed and mobile services.

Our membership
We are a founding member of the Donators Club of Donors Forum. . To measure our philanthropic activities we use an international methodology LBG - Standard responsible company. In 2007 TO2 CR ranked sixth in the TOP PHILANTROPIC COMPANY chart of the most generous company donors according to the total volume of donations.
