O2 Star

Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions are meant to be a guide to help our non-Czech customers understand the terms of service. Please see the Czech version of this page for the legally binding Terms and Conditions.

  1. The O2 Star service is designed to be used with any of O2's standard tariffs (O2 SMS, O2 Bronz, O2 Silver, O2 Gold, O2 Platinum, and O2 Diamant), discount versions of standard tariffs (Max), or special tariffs (O2 Pohoda, O2 Individual, and O2 Start), as well as with any of O2's original tariffs (O2 Individual, Relax, Relax Plus, Optimum, Optimum Plus, Business 200, Business 300, and Business 600), VPN variants and the Team Mobile and Team Mobile Profi services. The service can also be activated on primary Tandem cards.
  2. If the primary Tandem card owner activates the O2 Star service on a secondary Tandem card, the discounts for both these services (O2 Star and Tandem) are not added up - only the higher one applies.
  3. If the O2 Star and Team Mobile Profi services are combined, the discounts for both these services are not added up - only the higher one applies.
  4. The O2 Star service cannot be activated with obsolete GSM tariffs (e.g. O2 Global), with the SMS Data tariff and other tariffs designed for data transmission, with secondary Tandem cards (except by the primary Tandem card holder - see point 2), with the O2 Conex Profi service, or with the O2 GSM Gateway service.
  5. Activation of the service is free of charge once per month. Each additional activation costs CZK 95.80 (including VAT). Activation takes place within a day from the time the request was accepted. The customer will receive SMS notification once the service is activated.
  6. Deactivation of the service is free of charge.
  7. Contract customers do not need to present their identification number in order to activate or deactivate the service.
  8. Customers get a 20 percent discount on all communication with their chosen number - voice calls, SMS, and MMS.
  9. A one-way relationship goes into effect when the O2 Star service is activated - the 20 percent discount only applies to the customer who activated it, and only when communicating with the chosen number. If the chosen number is also an O2 number, its owner (whether they use prepaid or postpaid services) can also activate the O2 Star service and choose a Czech mobile or fixed-line phone number to call for less.
  10. Either the O2 Star service or the O2 Duet service can be activated with a particular telephone number - it is not possible to use both services with the same number.
  11. Customers can activate the O2 Star service even if they have a O2 Top package activated.
  12. Only GSM contract customers or prepaid O2 prepaid customers can activate the O2 Star service.
  13. The customer is responsible for entering the correct phone number. O2 is not responsible for activation of a non-existent telephone number.
  14. You cannot select phone numbers providing operator or audiotext services as your O2 Star number.
