Occupational Health and Safety Policy
As a company, Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. is aware of the irreplaceable value of the lives and wellbeing of all of its employees and other individuals affected by the company's work as well as the lives and wellbeing of all of those who use its products and services. That is why we strive to follow the highest occupation safety and health protection standards in all areas of our business.
Responsibility
We protect the wellbeing of our employees and other individuals and require that all of our employees accept personal responsibility and always perform their work in a safe manner and work with us in searching for and preventing possible risks to our own safety and the safety of others.
Legislation
We make sure that all of our work and activities are undertaken in conformity with the requirements established under the applicable national legislation and European regulatory requirements. In those areas that are not particularly regulated by legislative requirements, we apply our own standards, which are based on our professional findings and subsequent analysis, which are in conformity with best practice principles.
Employee Education
Based on an evaluation of potential risks, we provide all of our employees with the training required in order to ensure their safety and protection in the course of their work and we regularly test their knowledge and maintain the necessary documentation.
Open Approach
We support open lines of communication and exchanges of information with our employees, government authorities, our suppliers and business partners in order to ensure the proper level of occupational safety and health protection.
Consultations
On a regular basis, or as required, we hold discussions with representatives of our employees in order to ensure that we have provided a safe and non-hazardous work environment.
Risk Prevention
We implement measures for the prevention of risks and the elimination of potential health hazards, based on the results of risk analyses focused on the highest risk activities – such as, work in elevated locations or work around excavations (or similar), work in cable chambers, the operation of service vehicles, warehousing and work with computer monitors.
Continuous Improvement
We work hard to continuously improve the efficiency of our occupational safety and health protection efforts and the system for their management in order to effectively accommodate changing business conditions and legislative requirements. We use system process audits as an important tool for ongoing improvements in this area.
