Switching to a different mobile operator
Have you decided to switch from O2 to another mobile operator? Here's how to do it.
1. If you've decided to change your mobile operator, first submit a request for phone number transfer to the mobile operator you wish to join.
2. O2 will then receive an order for number transfer from this operator. O2 will process this request within two hours of receiving it - every Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm.
3. You will need to dentify the order and cancel your O2 contract within 10 working days.
Submitting a notice of contract termination
There are several ways to submit a notice of contract termination when transferring a phone number:
Postpaid contract customers
- Visit any brand store
- or send this completed form via mail to Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s., P.O. BOX 90, 130 11 Praha 3.
O2 prepaid customers
Send an SMS to the phone number 999111. The text of the message should read: PRENOS XXXXXXXXXXX PPPPPPPP
- X - Order identification number (also called a "PAC ID"); you will receive this number from the operator you wish to join.
- P - PUK code; this number came with the SIM card.
- Make sure there is a space between the PRENOS and the X, and between the X and P!
Other options
- Dial *33 and follow the voice prompts; you'll be asked to enter the same data as when sending the SMS message (see above)
- or visit any brand store
- If identification is successful, you will receive confirmation (within three working days for postpaid customers; within two working days for prepaid customers) and the process of number transfer will continue. If you use O2 prepaid services , you will be able to call in the Czech Republic (calls will be charged based on the standard rates of your tariff) and you will be able to send standard SMS messages from the moment of the identification.
- If the identification is unsuccessful, the entire order will be cancelled and the process will be terminated.
The operator you're switching to will inform you of the date by which your phone number should be transferred.

Canceling the notice of termination and the request for number transfer
Postpaid customers
- Fill in this form at a brand store or send it by mail.
O2 prepaid customers
Send an SMS containing the keywords ZRUSENI XXXXXXXXXXX CCCCCCC to the phone number 999111.
- PAC = Order identification number (also called a "PAC ID"); you will receive this number from the operator you wish to join.
- PUK = PUK code; this number came with the SIM card.

Legal entity - executive officer
