You don't have to do anything. We will inform you about the status and final date of the transfer. |
D-Day
You can start calling with your current number, which is now in the O2 network. |
| We create an order and tell you its identification number (tzv. PAC). |
1. Submit a number transfer request to O2
- Choose an
O2 tariff
- If you choose a
postpaid tariff you have
two options:
-
Activation with a temporary number -
RECOMMENDED!
- You can use your new O2 SIM card and tariff immediately with a temporary phone number and take advantage of current O2 offers.
- On the day your number is ported, the temporary number will be replaced by your original number (see step 4).
-
Activation after number transfer
- Your new O2 SIM card and O2 tariff will only become active after the process of porting your number to O2 is complete (see step 4).
-
Activation with a temporary number -
RECOMMENDED!
- If you choose a prepaid tariff you are purchasing an O2 Prepaid bundle with a temporary number. You can start to use this number immediately; on the day your number is ported, the temporary number will be replaced by your original number. (see step 4)
- If you choose a
postpaid tariff you have
two options:
- Prepare all required identification documents and information regarding the number you want to port.
- O2 will then give you the
identification number of your order (i.e.
PAC ID). This 11-digit number is necessary for your communication with both operators.
- A unique identification number will be generated for every number transfer request that we send to your current operator at your request. This number will be conveyed to you either immediately at the shop or later by SMS or email, depending on the arrangement you have made with our consultant.
- Your request will include the expected date of the number port.
2. Cancel your contract with your current operator
(or "order identification" at your current operator)
- Cancel your original contract within 10 working days after submitting your number transfer request.
- We can handle the cancellation process for you! We only need the information specified in step 1; have it ready when submitting your request.
- The list of all the information you require to cancel your original contract is available here.
3. We will inform you about the status of the transfer process
- We will contact you in your preferred form of correspondence - i.e. by phone, SMS, or email.
- Unless asked to, you don't have to do anything.
- · You will be informed of the
result of the cancellation process ("order identification"):
- If your order is not identified properly, you will have two more attempts. Order identification may fail due to, for instance, mistakes in the cancellation form, incorrect personal data, stating a different quantity of numbers that are to be ported than in your request, etc. You will be informed of the error by us, as well as your current operator. If you fail to complete the order identification step within 10 working days, the transfer process will be terminated.
- Once identification is complete, you will be informed by SMS or email and the process will continue.
- No later than five days after identification, you
will be informed of whether or not your operator has confirmed your order.
- If your order has not been confirmed, the transfer process will be terminated.
- If the order has been confirmed, the transfer process will continue.
- O2 will then inform you of
the scheduled date of your number transfer.
- The scheduled date will either be the same as the one you set at the beginning as "expected" or, if the original date cannot be kept, a new one will be set.
4. On the day your number is transferred, start using your new O2 SIM card with your original number
- Your original SIM card will be deactivated between midnight and 02:00.
- If you are using a new O2 SIM card with a temporary number, this number will be replaced with your original number by 06:00.
- If your new SIM card has not been activated by the day the transfer is scheduled to take place, it will be activated with your original number by 06:00. You can start using your O2 SIM card after it is inserted into your mobile phone.
5. If you want to cancel the transfer process
- You can cancel the entire process at any point up until the transfer date that the operators have agreed upon. More information.
