A [:kůl:] new youth tariff from O2
24.4.2008
From May 1, 2008 all young O2 customers can send all the SMSes they want in comfort. With the new O2 [:kůl:] tariff they can send SMS messages to numbers in the O2 mobile network for free, all the time, without any additional fees.
The O2 [:kůl:] tariff costs only CZK 250 with VAT per month and, in addition to unlimited SMS messages to O2 numbers, it also offers 60 free minutes for calls to numbers in ALL networks every month. Unused free minutes are transferred to the following month.
O2 [:kůl:] is extremely simple and transparent. Calling rates for this tariff are the same for calls to numbers in all networks, during any time period. This means that customers do not have to concern themselves with when and who they are calling; the rate remains the same. After free minutes have been used up, one calling minute to any number costs the customer CZK 4.50 with VAT; SMS messages to numbers in other mobile networks are CZK 1.50 with VAT. For MMS messages, the customer pays CZK 5.90 with VAT, and, as part of an ongoing special offer, one minute of video calling costs CZK 1 with VAT.
The new O2 [:kůl:] tariff is currently available to customers who sign a 24-month contract by August 31, 2008. By signing a contract, the customer has the opportunity to combine the tariff with the purchase of a new mobile phone for a favorable price of as little as CZK 1 with VAT.
O2 [:kůl:] is not an ordinary tariff. It offers young customers an abundance of experiences, and it wants to entertain them and always give them something more. The first event is already on the horizon. On April 30, it is presenting the premiere of all witch-burnings in the O2 Yellow Spa. Then, on May 1, as part of the O2 [:kůl:] Tour 2008 the [:kůl:] bus will be setting out for regions, providing transportation to popular festivals, to the [:kůl:] Summer Cinema with free evening screenings, and to the [:kůl:] disco. In addition to this, a wide variety of cultural and sporting events throughout the Czech Republic, along with contests for great prizes, are being prepared for May to August. The latest information about events will be published at www.youngzone.cz.
"SMS messages undoubtedly make up the most frequently used service among young people. Therefore, we have prepared a tariff that provides free SMS messages to O2 mobile numbers. With the O2 [:kůl:] tariff, young people can thus send SMS messages 24 hours a day in comfort, without worrying aobut spending more than they can afford,"says Jan Karas, Marketing Director for the Residential Segment, Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, and, with a smile, adding, "If they were to activate the tariff and use it beyond the maximum allowable period, that is until the age of 26, they would get free SMS messages toO2mobile numbers for an unbelievable 20 years."
