Personnel changes in the corporate bodies of the Company

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. has taken into account the resignation of two members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Jaime Smith Basterra and Mr. Antonio Botas Baňuelos, and of one member of the Supervisory Board, Mr. Peter Erskine, who has been holding the office of Chairman of this corporate body. Mr. Jaime Smith Basterra’s departure relates to his planned transfer to the Supervisory Board; Mr. Antonio Botas Baňuelos leaves the statutory body of the Company as a result of his transfer to O2 Germany, where he has been holding the office of Managing Director Product Development & Brand Management since August 2007. The vacancy in the Supervisory Board has been filled by the co-optation of Mr. Jaime Smith Basterra, who has subsequently been elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The vacancies in the Board of Directors will not be filled, since the Board of Directors intends to propose at this year’s General Meeting, by means of amendment to the Articles of Association, that the number of members of the Board of Directors should be reduced from the present nine to seven members.
