O2 shops await ten millionth visitor
According to Telefónica O2 statisticians, the number of visitors to O2 shops is about to surpass 10,000,000. On this occasion, all visitors have the chance to win an LCD television and one year of O2TV for free. All they need to do is enter any of the 102 O2 shops located throughout the Czech Republic and participate in an interesting quiz contest between January 21 and February 29, 2008.
On the occasion of the jubilee visit, the quiz contest is taking place in all O2 shops throughout the country. Every visitor can participate by filling in a contest flyer with their answer to the question "How many visitors entered O2 shops between 08:00 on January 2, 2007 and 18:00 on December 31, 2007?" and putting it into the contest drop-box. The ten closest answers will win a Philips LCD television and one year of O2TV digital television absolutely free of charge.
"We have been tracking the number of visitors to our shops since January 2, 2007. Computing equipment in our retail outlets function on the principle of optical recognition of temperature differences between a person and their surroundings. The resulting data is then processed using special software that enters the information into a database," explains Luděk Šantora, Sales Director for Telefónica O2 Czech Republic Shops, adding, "We are very pleased that within a relatively short period, we have received such a high number of visitors. As a way of thanking our visitors for their goodwill, we have prepared attractive prizes for ten visitors, and contest entrants, to our shops."
Telefónica O2 currently operates a total of 102 shops and four O2 sales kiosks. It has another 33 partner retail outlets. The oldest is the shop on Jindřišská Street in Prague, which was opened in 1991. In 2007, Telefónica O2 opened a total of seven new retail outlets. A complete list of O2 shops is available here.
In addition to the opportunity to participate in the quiz contest for fabulous prizes, visitors can also take advantage of the extended Christmas offer until the end of January 2008. In all O2 shops, they can get bonuses in the form of free calling and message delivery to a selected number or 100% bonus credit with their first recharge. A special offer has also been extended for subscribers, who can get 50% discount when ordering the digital television.
