A professional, user-friendly and, at the same time, guaranteed email solutioni s no longer only a privilege for large firms and multinational corporations. Through the O2 Business Mail service, all of this is now available to every entrepreneur and small business. For a very reasonable monthly fee, Telefónica O2 will set up and carry their electronic post account, which includes administration of all advanced functions from calendars, through file sharing, to an antivirus filter. Service installation and set up, as well as registration and domain administration, which the customer can select themselves, are free of charge.
"The O2 Business Mail service, for which we have created a totally new technological platform, is a logical continuation of our endeavors to ensure further penetration of modern ICT technologies throughout the business public. In November we offered an outsourced variant of the BlackBerry server, in October we offered firms a complete computer security service, last week we introduced Managed services. Customers can thus acquire the latest technology without being forced to invest resources into implementation, operation, and maintenance," stated Aleš Veselý, Director for marketing to business customers of Telefónica O2 and he added: " In the end the customer does not neet to understand IT neither he needs to employ any specialists in this field. We will provide him will all the technical support."
The service functions on a user-friendly principle. Telefónica O2 customers set up an account on their Microsoft Exchange electronic mail servers. In addition to mailboxes, this also includes a shared calendar and shared files, a global contact list, and an antivirus and antispam filter. The customer can then access this virtual office with the help of an email client, an Internet browser, or a mobile phone. Every customer can choose their email address - provided that the domain is available - according to their wishes and needs. The user can adjust a wide range of parameters for their mailboxes, such as maximum data volume capacity.
Telefónica O2 is offering O2 Business Mail in two variants. The basic variant, O2Business Mail Standard, offers a data volume capacity of up to 100 MB, for which the customer pays just CZK 125 per month. The O2Business Mail Profi brings the data limit up to 500 MB and it also includes free licence for mail client Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007. Price of this variant is CZK 299 per month.The capacity can be increased easily: every 100 MB costs an additional CZK 100. Service installation and setup are free of charge.
