HRADEC KRÁLOVÉ TO HOST ISSS CONFERENCE 2006; ČESKÝ TELECOM IS THE GENERAL EXPERT PARTNER

Aldis Congress Center in Hradec Králové will host the ninth ISSS E-Government Conference on April 3 and 4. E-government experts will discuss topics such as the Public Administration Portal, E-government as well as digital TV. The conference as the best-in-class event in Central and Eastern Europe presents ČESKÝ TELECOM as its general expert partner.
The East Bohemian city of Hradec Králové will host representatives of public administration, ICT companies, European e-government institutions as well as technology experts under the auspices of the Czech Prime Minister Mr. Jiří Paroubek and Minister of Informatics Ms. Dana Bérová. The key issues to be discussed include e-government at European, national, regional and local levels.
“ČESKÝ TELECOM and the Czech Ministry of Informatics participate in many projects focused on utilization of ICT in public administration such as the Public Administration Portal. This is why we are involved in the conference as the general expert partner,” commented Martin Žabka, spokesperson for Český Telecom. “We bring the state-of-art technology to the Czech Republic and we intend to present it to the experts.”
Organizers expect over 2,000 visitors. The two-day event will offer more than 250 seminars and workshops covering the broad e-service opportunities for the public, such as e-registry, e-government portals, e-learning, etc. The highlights of the conference include development of e-tourism and digital TV deployment.
Along with the national the ISSS conference, an international Local and Regional Information Society (LORIS) conference will be held, providing a platform for EU IT experts to discuss their experiences with IT in public administration. The conference agenda includes a summit on Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society under the auspices of Přemysl Sobotka, Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic.
