FIXED LINES CAN RECHARGE MOBILE TELEPHONES

ČESKÝ TELECOM and Eurotel customers can now recharge their mobiles through fixed lines. Both firms will launch this exceptional service, which enables Eurotel pre-paid Go card users to replenish their credit through the use of monthly billing for fixed lines, on April 3, 2006. In April and May, the amount of every recharge will be increased by 10% as a bonus.
“The new service represents another one of the synergic effects of ČESKÝ TELECOM and Eurotel. In addition to convenience it also provides prepaid Go card users the benefits of deferred payments for their mobile telephone usage. Furthermore, they can monitor their calling expenditures clearly with one telephone bill,” stated Michal Žilka, Executive Director for Content Services and Business Development, ČESKÝ TELECOM.
The new service is easy to use. It is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Credit can be increased by using a self-service telephone line on 800 123 456. Options that enable customers to recharge their mobiles through SMS and Internet are being prepared. The customer does not require cash; they pay for their credit increase through their monthly statement. Activating and operating the service is free of charge.
The service can be activated through the aforementioned toll-free line on 800 123 456; the customer only needs to know the reference number of the line from which they are calling. This reference number is presented on every statement for telecommunications services. Further use of the service for recharging Go credit is protected by a PIN code that the customer creates during the activation process.
Then the customer simply needs to call 800 123 456 at any time. After entering their PIN code, the amount of the credit recharge, and the mobile telephone number that is to be recharged the customer’s credit is increased. Every month it is possible to recharge one or more telephone numbers with up to CZK 1,500 of credit. The minimum amount is CZK 200.
