ONCE AGAIN, EUROTEL AND ČESKÝ TELECOM ARE PARTNERS OF THE KARLOVY VARY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
25.4.2006
Prague, April 25, 2006 – This year, Eurotel Praha, spol. s r.o., together with its parent company ČESKÝ TELECOM, a.s., will once again be partners of the year’s biggest film event – the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Both companies have prepared a wide range of services that will make time spent at the festival simpler and more pleasant for its visitors. These services include a unique mobile ticket reservation system for individual screenings, an abundant selection of mobile services connected with the event, as well as activities that will take place directly on the sites of the screenings.
“We truly appreciate that fact that every year we can be a part of an event as significant as the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. This exhibition of films, comparable with the festivals in Cannes, Berlin and Venice, brings the best of the film world’s most recent offerings to the Czech Republic. We are pleased to participate in this and to provide film buffs with services that will make reserving tickets easier, thus making their time at the festival more pleasant,“ stated Jaroslav Kubišta, Executive Director for Public Affairs, Eurotel Praha, spol. s.r.o.
Just as in previous years, this year both companies have prepared a bountiful offer of services created for festival goers. For a long time, one of the most popular has been the mobile ticket reservation system for individual screenings. Last year around 30 000 tickets were reserved through the use of this system. Visitors will be able to reserve tickets through WAP and Eurotel customers can also do so by way of SMS. Furthermore, WAP pages with information about the KVIFF will be prepared; these pages will provide users with updated programs and news from the festival, as well as, for instance, timetables for public transportation, information about accommodation options, and weather forecasts.
As the long-term official supplier of Internet and communications services for the KVIFF, ČESKÝ TELECOM is once again preparing an Internet café for festival goers. It is also offering amusement in the form of the Game Zone, where visitors can relax and play computer games. The operator is also providing the most state-of-the-art and the fastest Internet connections at the festival using ADSL, CDMA, and GPRS technologies.
