Owing to the success and immense interest shown by new customers, ČESKÝ TELECOM is extending its special offer for O2 Internet ExpresS broadband Internet connections, which includes a modem, broadband Internet activation and the first month of connectivity all for a symbolic fee of three koruna, until January 15, 2006. "If the current trend continues, we will know the names of three hundred thousand subscribers in February of this year," says an evidently optimistic Simon Burckhardt, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer – Residential Segment - ČESKÝ TELECOM.During the attractive winter offer, the number of ČESKÝ TELECOM’s O2 Internet Expres broadband Internet connections through telephone lines has increased by nearly 15%.
"We have been successful among new customers thanks to the O2 Internet Expres winter offer. Since its introduction on November 7, 2005, an average of over 1 300 new subscribers per working day have ordered the service , and this number is still growing," adds Mr. Burckhardt. Thus far, the most successful period in terms of incoming orders has been the 47th week of 2005, when ČESKÝ TELECOM took a total of 7 350 orders. Current statistics show that broadband Internet was a popular gift under Christmas trees in many households.
Customers can verify whether they can have O2 Internet Express installed on a specific phone line by means of a regularly updated Internet application or through SMS. To verify availability by means of an SMS message, simply send an SMS in the form of EXPRES XXXXXXXXX (where XXXXXXXXX is the telephone number of the fixed line in question) to 724 185 184. The customer will receive information about the availability of the O2 Internet Express service on the fixed line in question in the form of an SMS message.
