DONATE YOURSELF! AND HELP THE CHILDREN’S CRISIS CENTRE

23.5.2006

The Donate Yourself! (Darujte sebe!) project, prepared for its fourth year by the Children’s Crisis Centre, is taking place in Letna in Prague on Saturday May 20. ČESKÝ TELECOM is one of the project’s main partners.

Those who visit the event can look forward to an abundant program full of competitions that will be supplemented by musical performances, autograph sessions, interviews with celebrities, and dance performances. ČESKÝ TELECOM has prepared a special program that is full of attractions for children. They can, for instance, test their abilities in speed puzzles, in painting pictures, in sack jumping, and in taking shots on a hockey goal. A climbing wall and a “fly wall” also await the children.

For both children and adults, ČESKÝ TELECOM has prepared an exhibition of racing cars from Czechoslovak Motorsport and attendees can also look forward to an autograph signing session with O2 Internet Expres Prima Team driver Michal Matějovský. Visitors will also see Beatles cover band The Spiders, Olympian Miroslava Knapková, a performance by actor Boris Hybner and HAMU students, and a presentation by the Imperial Islands Riding Company.

The objective of the Donate Yourself! Project is to address the general public and familiarise it with the problems of tyranny, abuse and neglect of children of all age groups. The project consists of three parts: an open door day at the Chirldren’s Crisis Centre, the Donate Yourself! day and film presentations called The Reverse Side of Childhood (Odvrácená strana dětství), which is accompanied by seminars and discussions. Everyone who wants to play sports and enjoy great entertainment, and help a good cause at the same time, is welcome.
