6.3.2006
Today, Šárka Durdisova, a Miss Czech 2006 finalist, presented the Czech Republic’s 300 000th broadband Internet subscriber with a prize from ČESKÝ TELECOM. The lucky recipient was Jan Vild of Prague. Today, ČESKÝ TELECOM awarded him with a free one-year connection to the O2 Internet Expres MAXI service and a Dell Precision M70 notebook. Vild name was drawn from those of the 10 last newly connected subscribers at a press conference in February 2006 in the presence of attending journalists (foto supplement below).
Jan Vild says: "This comes as a very pleasant surprise to me. I ordered my broadband connection from ČESKÝ TELECOM in January in order to keep up with the swiftly changing world according to my budget. And it looks like I’ve got the best conditions to stay in the picture at all times. I would like to thank ČESKÝ TELECOM for this gift, I truly appreciate it."
Now broadband Internet is accessible in 1354 localities of the Czech Republic, which covers over 90 percent of all of ČESKÝ TELECOM’s telephone lines. "Our main priority is still maximising the number of localities in which it is possible to use O2 Internet Expres," says company Press Spokesman Martin Žabka.
