High Speed Circuit Switched Data. Technology used for data transmission in GSM mobile phone networks based on the principle of circuit switching. As it uses more timeslots at once, it represents a very fast technology for mobile transmission of data. Available terminals use up to four timeslots for transmissions and can reach a transmission speed of up to 43.2 kbit/s.
