Information security
Company information has an indispensable value and its protection is thus very important. Our company is committed to protect information in accordance with the basic regulations and principles of information security and in line with the Information Security Policy and targets defined by the Security Code.
Information Security Policy
At Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s., the term 'information security' stands for a process for the assurance of the security of our information at the required levels with respect to its sensitivity, integrity and availability.
To secure our business objectives and activities and to make sure that we meet the applicable legislative requirements, our company creates processes and stores information of various types, which require different levels of security.
In its position, our company processes and stores information, which is subject to the requirements established under the Act on Classified Information. The protection of such information is handled through special internal guidelines.
The primary objective of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s., as a company, is to protect the safety of the information that we handle through the use of adequate and appropriate measures, which are designed to protect our information assets in a manner such that our customers and partners can feel comfortable.
This objective is being pursued by the building, implementation, operation, monitoring, maintenance and constant upgrading of a documented information security management system in the context of the business activities and risks of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s.
The company pursues the individual objectives related to this issue by taking adequate steps that are designed as part of the process for the management of information security related risks in the areas of security management, information classification, personal and physical security, the security of the environment, the security of communications and operations management, secure access management, system development and maintenance security, the management of operational continuity and adherence to the applicable legislative requirements.
The primary source of information for the process of managing information security at Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. are the legislative requirements, the standards and recommendations, which must be adhered to as part of the information security management process.
