Telefónica O2 Czech Republic is sensitive to the needs of the society it works in and believes it is necessary to respond to them. We consider social responsibility to be an indispensable part of corporate culture and apply it to a broad spectrum of our activities, ranging from business ethics to environmental issues.

The O2 Foundation ( www.nadaceo2.cz) is the cornerstone of our commitment to supporting the nonprofit sector. It was founded in 2002 (as the Eurotel Foundation) with the objective of pooling all resources that had been previously donated to individual charity projects under one administration. The O2 Foundation was one of the first corporate foundations registered in the Czech Republic and has become a model for other corporate donorship projects.

The mission of the O2 Foundation is to support projects that contribute to the improvement of mental and physical health of children and youth, as well as to the protection and development of the environment and the communities we live in. Through technology, services, and intellectual property, we support social projects that aim to equalize opportunities for handicapped groups and individuals.

In addition to our foundation activities, we donate services and implement selected projects thanks to the volunteer work of our employees. We combine these approaches in order to use company resources for the public's benefit in the most effective way possible.

In 2004, we participated in the creation of the DMS, or Donor SMS, a unique philanthropic tool. This provides the public with a fast and transparent way to donate money to various charities by means of mobile technology. We also support the progress of donorship in the Czech Republic and are a founding member of DONATOR, a corporate donor club.
