"PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A PROPER RUSH": A NEW AD CAMPAIGN FEATURING JAN KRAUS
Feb 8, 2006
Jan Kraus will once again play the lead role in ČESKÝ TELECOM’s new ad campaign. The advertising spots, which the public can see in media outlets as of today, inform customers that the speed of O2 Internet Expres services has been increased by as much as four times, while the original prices have been preserved. The ads also provide information about the opportunity to get one thousand free calling minutes and have a fixed line installed for CZK 1.It took four days to shoot the advertisements and 600 extras participated. In an effort to produce a springtime atmosphere, the extras had to pursue Jan Kraus in -14 degree Celsius weather dressed only in light clothing. In order to ensure that everyone made it through the shoot without damaging their health, not only were hectolitres of hot tea and soup provided, but thermal underwear was bought for the most scantily-clad actors.
Both campaigns were the work of a creative team from Young and Rubican Praha, under the direction of Miroslav Pomical. The advertising spots were directed by Tomáš Mašína. The O2 Internet Expres spot follows a teaser featuring a fleeing Jan Kraus that has been on television since February 1.
The campaign will appear on television, radio, in print media outlets and on the Internet. The O2 Internet Expres advertising spot can first be seen today, February 6, at 19:58 on Czech Television 1. Televize Nova will air it at 20:58 and it will appear on Prima at 23:20. The spot promoting the fixed line offer will be aired today on Prima at 17:15.
ČESKÝ TELECOM is offering new customers an Internet connection that is four times faster than before for the original price as well as a special deal: service activation for CZK 1, one month of service usage for CZK 1 and a modem for a special price. For existing customers, the connection speed will be increased automatically.
Everyone who orders a fixed line in February or March 2006 will receive one thousand free calling minutes. Furthermore, installation during this period will only cost a symbolic price of one koruna. ČESKÝ TELECOM will also provide new telephone line subscribers with several added value services free of charge.
