O2 offers simple surfing on Facebook on mobile phones for free for half a year

Fans can now stay in continuous contact with their friends on Facebook, the most extensive community network, through a simple device. On May 4, 2009, Telefónica O2 introduced the Sony Ericsson W705 featuring a special Facebook application exclusively into its portfolio of mobile phones. With this phone, every customer gets O2 Internet on Your Mobile for free for six months.
"The sensation called Facebook has swept the Czech Republic. A growing number of users who want to share their experiences immediately are registering themselves with this popular social network. We found the ideal phone that enables you to stay connected to Facebook at all times; however, this is not possible without internet access. Therefore, we are offering customers the opportunity to stay connected to Facebook with this phone by giving them Internet on Your Mobile for free for half a year with no obligation," says Jan Karas, Director of Segment Marketing, Telefónica O2.
This is the best functioning and most user-friendly application for enjoying Facebook on a mobile phone: it is intuitive and simple and enables easy operation of the most frequently used Facebook functions. In conjunction with Internet on Your Mobile, it is a highly "addictive experience".
Simply log into Facebook using the same name and password as on a classic computer. Your friends' statuses are updated automatically on the phone's display without requiring you to open the application. Any photos or videos, whether taken with the phone or transferred to the phone, can be viewed on Facebook in two clicks.
Every customer can get O2 Internet on Your Mobile for free for six months regardless of whether they are using prepaid or postpaid services. All they need to do is get the Sony Ericsson W705 mobile phone featuring the Facebook application between May 4 and June 30, 2009. It is not necessary to order the service because it is activated automatically with the purchase of the phone.
